Featured Project: Fire Station No. 3 (Commerce Township, MI)
The Commerce Township Fire Department replaced a 50-year-old facility with a modern fire station that is equipped to meet the needs of both its fire fighters and the community for many years.
The new fire station has four long bays for apparatus and vehicles with associated decontamination, workrooms, storage and fitness space. Separated from the apparatus bay are areas consisting of the watch room and offices, dorm rooms, kitchen, dining, day room, separate laundry, toilet and locker rooms.
The mechanical systems design included heating, ventilating, air conditioning, plumbing and sprinkler systems.
The electrical systems design included lighting, power and low voltage systems.
