Featured Project: Foundation Hotel (Detroit, MI)
The Foundation Hotel is a notable example of adaptive reuse, merging two historic buildings. This five-story, 200-room hotel opened in May 2017. Conversion of the historic Fire Department Headquarters included multiple steps in transforming to a hotel and supporting functions.
Mechanical Engineering services for this project include evaluation of existing installed utilities infrastructure, complete design of plumbing systems, fire protection equipment, HVAC systems, etc.
Electrical Engineering services for this project include complete design of fire alarm equipment, linkage of switches to outlets or devices, electrical loads for lighting equipment, and interior lighting systems.
